Meet the Owner/ Trainer
My Story

My journey into dog training began with my own English Mastiff, Ali Baba. As he matured, he began showing signs of reactivity, and like many owners searching for answers, I tried methods like the e-collar that promised quick results, hoping it would finally fix the mess I found myself in. Instead, it only made things worse. That experience forced me to pause and rethink my approach. I realized my dog didn’t need more control, he needed to be understood.

When I began focusing on what he was actually communicating, everything changed. By listening to his body language, stress signals, and the emotions behind his behavior, we were able to start building trust and confidence together. That shift from control to understanding became the foundation of my training philosophy.

Today, my goal is to help other owners who find themselves in similar situations, people who love their dogs deeply but feel unsure how to move forward when challenges arise. I help dogs and their humans build stronger communication, navigate big emotions, and develop practical skills that work in real life so they can grow together as a team.
Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs happen when we stop trying to control our dogs and start learning to understand them.

Education & Experience

Before starting Lily Pup Dog Training, I served seven years in the United States Air Force as a linguist, where my work required careful listening, interpretation, and understanding subtle communication. Those same skills now shape how I approach working with dogs and their people.

I am a proud United States Air Force veteran and hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, which deepened my interest in behavior, learning, and how both humans and animals process the world around them.

My training approach is rooted in science-based methods supported by behavioral research, rather than quick fixes or shortcuts. I am currently continuing my education and working toward becoming a Master Trainer through the CATCH Canine Trainers Academy, further strengthening my commitment to thoughtful, humane, and evidence-based training.
